Jazz musician Gregg Karukas to perform Oct. 6

The Room at Cedar Grove will host jazz performer Gregg Karukas for a solo show at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, at 32882 Cedar Grove Road near Lewes. Tickets include dinner.
A founder of The Rippingtons, Karukas performs music that crosses genres including smooth jazz, R&B and pop.
He has toured with Brazilian artist Sergio Mendes, Boney James, Peter White, Melissa Manchester and Jeffrey Osborne.
Events held at The Room benefit Paul Kares, a nonprofit founded to support aspiring musicians and culinary artists. The organization offers grants for education, equipment and travel expenses.
