John ‘Jack’ Baker, retired manager

September 15, 2021

John “Jack" Baker, 77, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, during a short hospital stay.

Prior to his move to Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth Beach, Jack had two careers, the first with Crane Supply, and most recently with H&S Bakery in management. He enjoyed being a “Baker” working at a bakery who did not bake.

Jack was a longtime Baltimore City resident, volunteering at the Southern District Community Relations Council with Baltimore City police.  He was mainly known for his work on establishing Citizens-On-Patrol groups in different parts of Baltimore.

Jack’s volunteer work resulted in travel to the United Kingdom to assist in establishing similar citizen patrol groups. Above all, Jack enjoyed time spent with those he held most dear.

Jack is survived by caretakers, Ron Bass and George Robbins of Rehoboth Beach. No services are planned.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
