Joseph Wayne Millman, retired plumber

Joseph Wayne Millman, 68, of Laurel, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

He was a plumber for many years with Harold Short Plumbing. He enjoyed working on tractors, going to auctions and spending time with his grandkids.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. and Mabel V. (Willey) Millman; a brother, Harry Millman; a sister, Mildred Short; and his companion, Star VanVorst.

He is survived by two sons: James (Michelle) and Jackson VanVorst; six siblings: Helen Wilson, Norman Millman, Shirley Taylor, Ronald (Dee) Millman, Bob (Pat) Millman, and Daniel (Darlene) Millman; and four grandchildren, Abigail, Lily and Mykayla VanVorst and Brianna Horan.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 8, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, with visitation after noon. Burial will be in McColley’s Cemetery in Redden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
