Keep Clear Space Theatre in Rehoboth Beach

June 13, 2025

I support enthusiastically the newly proposed Christian Street location for the future home of Clear Space Theatre in downtown Rehoboth Beach. In the past, I had major concerns about a previous proposed location on Rehoboth Avenue, but my support for Clear Space to stay in Rehoboth Beach has always been, and remains, constant.

The newly proposed location is in the center of town, but not on Rehoboth Avenue, provides parking, multiple streets for egress and is surrounded by commercial properties. It is a wonderful location for the new theater.

I am hopeful the citizens who shared my concerns in the past will join me in supporting the proposed Clear Space Theatre on Christian Street. As a community, we have a chance to come together and build a state-of-the-art theater in Rehoboth Beach. I am also hopeful that our elected and appointed officials, as well as city employees, will encourage productive conversations with Clear Space now, and finalize incentives that are mutually agreeable to all parties. Ensuring that Clear Space Theatre remains in downtown Rehoboth Beach is not only a worthy investment in our city, it is also exactly what we need to provide culture and arts to the residents and visitors of the Nation's Summer Capital.
