KINfolk wine and art fundraiser set July 18

Proceeds provide laptop and internet access for hospitalized children

KINfolk’s 13th Annual Wine Tasting & Art Auction will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, at the Virden Center, 700 Pilottown Road, on the University of Delaware campus in Lewes.

KINfolk provides laptop computers and internet access to children who are hospitalized or homebound, keeping sick children connected to those who love and support them at a time when they need it most. This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever. Donating beautiful art this year are: Abraxas, Kevin Fleming, Ellen Rice, Laura Hickman, Nancy Katz, Dianne Leadlove and Marvin Carney, among many others.

In addition to art, Dave Wilson’s Live Auction will include a ladies 10K diamond bracelet from Holland Jewelers, art by Kevin Fleming, a 3-hour paintball party for 10, Photos on Aluminum by Mitchell Stickler and a one-week stay in a condo on Lewes Beach. A silent action will offer varied items donated by local merchants. While browsing, guests may sample a selection of domestic wines from Teller Wines as well as soda, coffee and water. Admission is $30.

Restaurants contributing appetizers include 1776 Steakhouse, Bethany Blues, Bob Evans, Edible Arrangements, Frank & Louie’s Italian Specialties, Go Fish, Jakes Seafood, Big Fish Market, Summer House, Fractured Prune, The Cultured Pearl, SoDel Concepts, Jersey Mike’s Subs, The Point Coffee House, The Greene Turtle, Grotto Pizza, Blue Moon, the Starboard, Mariachi and JD Shuckers.
