KSI 25th Annual 3 Club Golf Tournament winners announced
KSI’s 25th Annual 3 Club Golf Tournament, held Sept. 17 at Jonathan’s Landing in Magnolia, was made possible with support from major sponsors AT&T, L & W Insurance Agency, and Sharp Energy; dinner sponsor, Citizens Bank; golf cart sponsor, Ethel Graham, and support sponsors, Delmarva Broadcasting Co., Discover Bank, and i.g. Burton & Co.
Traditionally unique, the tournament also gives a prize to the highest-scoring team as well as the first, second, and third low net and low gross teams. In recognition of its 25th annual tournament, a contest was held to guess the number of tees in a container without going over, for a $25 cash prize.
The highest-scoring team was Delaware Electric Cooperative. Each person on this team received a prize bag donated by Delaware Distilling Company containing a bottle of its premium vodka, a gift card for $20, and a sample take-out menu for the restaurant.
First-place low gross went to Artesian Water with a 57. Second-place low gross went to Delmarva Power with a 62, and third-place low gross was awarded to Lank, Johnson & Tull, also with a 62, winner determined by the golf pro based on scorecards. First-place low net was awarded to Parkowski, Guerke & Swayze with a 56 net; second place with a net of 58 went to Tidewater Utilities, and third place went to National HVAC Service with a 59 net.
Sponsors of the 19th Hors d’oeuvres Hole were Subway and Poore’s Propane. The putting contest sponsor was Tidewater Utilities. Driving range sponsors were Rep. Donald Blakey, Delaware Electric Cooperative, Mutual of America, Randy Mitchell Painting, and Triglia Transportation. Lunch sponsors were BDK Inc., Chesapeake Utilities Corp., Growmark FS LLC-Shopworks, Law Office of Jeffery J. Larrimore, San Diego, CA, M&T Bank, National HVAC Service, Regional Builders, and the Pill Box Pharmacy LLC. Mulligans were sponsored by Weller’s Utility Trailers, and scoreboard sponsors include Excel Business Systems, Great American Insurance, Kenton Ruritan Club, Mutual of America, NAPA Wright’s Auto Parts, and National HVAC Service.
