L. Frances Collins, 90
L. Frances Collins, 90, of Millsboro passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford after a short illness.
Frances was born Oct. 20, 1930, in Millsboro to the late William D. and Edith (Jones) Morris. In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Collins Sr.; a son, David L. Collins; and a sister, Geneva O’Neal.
Mrs. Collins worked at Mohawk Electronics and Robbie Manufacturing Company for many years. In later years, she worked with her husband in his business, Collins Paint & Body Shop in Georgetown.
She is survived by three sons, William O. Collins (Terri) of Selbyville, Richard L. Collins (Renee) of Laurel, and Alvin L. Collins Jr. (Donna) of Georgetown; one daughter, Patricia Holden of Bridgeville; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Collins; a nephew, Louis O’Neal of Laurel; a cousin, Ray Jones of Millsboro; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as neighbor and special caretaker, Wayne Thornton.
Due to the ongoing pandemic and gathering restrictions, all services are being held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frances’ memory are suggested to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
