Laura B. Mitchell, retired banker

Laura B. Mitchell, 74, of Harbeson passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at her residence. She was born Jan. 28, 1947, in Lewes, daughter of the late Frank D. and Evelyn (Long) Bunting Sr.

Ms. Mitchell grew up in Dagsboro and graduated from John Clayton High School. She started a lifelong career in banking as an asset recovery specialist, retiring from M&T Bank after 30-plus years. Ms. Mitchell enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She was very much into singing and was a member of the Country Gospel Music Association. (C.G.M.A.).              

Ms. Mitchell is survived by her daughter, Holly Mitchell-Donovan and her wife Francine Conley of Harbeson; her brother, Frank D. Bunting II of Dagsboro; her grandchildren: Logan Donovan, Brogan Conley and Bryna Conley; her nephew, Randy Brittingham of Lewes; her niece, Lori Draper of North Carolina; her great-niece, Leah Brittingham; her best friend, Peggy Dickerson of Berlin, Md.; and her granddogs: Echo, Chance, Bailey and Buster.  
 
All services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
