Laurel man faces fifth DUI following Milton crash

A Laurel man faces his fifth driving under the influence charge following an Aug. 1 hit-and-run crash in Milton.

Milton police said a black Chevrolet truck struck another vehicle at 2:53 p.m. at the intersection of Federal and Union streets and fled. Police pulled over the truck in the area of Union Street and Morris Avenue, and the driver, Steven Moore, 46, was found to be impaired. He was taken to the Milton Police Department and charged with his fifth DUI, a felony, along with other traffic-related offenses.

He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $8,001 cash bond.
