Let’s protect all the children in our schools

December 8, 2017

The misinformation about the proposed transgender protections in our schools is staggering. The truth is simple. These regulations will protect vulnerable students from bullying, harassment and danger in their schools, and allow them to make the most of their education. All children deserve the chance to do their best.

The adults complaining and spreading fear and hatred about these regulations are tossing red herrings and false information like raw meat to their constituency. Unless they have a gender-fluid child, it will not affect the complainers' lives one iota.

At the end of the day, we should protect the young people in our schools. All of them.
