Letter: New Clear Space location would be beneficial

March 15, 2019

As everyone knows, downtown Rehoboth is a very small town. There are not a lot of pieces of property where Clear Space can build their permanent home.

The location on Rehoboth Avenue will help to continue to improve the west end of downtown Rehoboth.  It would be wonderful if an arts district would build up around the new Clear Space Theatre.

Community theatre creates a sense of community, something Rehoboth can use more of for sure. We attend most of the shows and occasionally see someone we know. This means that many of the attendees are from outside of the canal, which means customers for downtown businesses.  It would be extremely sad to let Clear Space move out of town.

We fully support the new Clear Space and its proposed location, and think it would make a wonderful neighbor.
