Letter: Shore Democrats endorse Bucchioni

October 26, 2018

One of many vital reasons that we need John (Jack) Bucchioni in Legislative Hall is that Sussex County has never received its fair share of the state’s budget despite having a rapidly growing population.  For example, we receive a mere 9 percent of monies budgeted by the state for roads, and our groundwater and internet needs have never been properly addressed. This is terrible representation!  Sussex deserves better! And we will get better with Jack Bucchioni in the House of Representatives. Jack will work within the majority caucus to redirect our fair share of taxes for greatly needed infrastructure projects, and he will protect us against reactionary views.

Jack will be an outstanding asset to Sussex County in the Legislature. Not only is he a successful businessman (see Oct. 12 letter to the editor “Bucchioni deserves your vote on Nov. 6”) but he is a gentleman, an activist and avid, intelligent proponent of improving and safeguarding our way of life.  Jack and his wife Linda are proud parents of two sons and a daughter and have five grandchildren.  He has owned property in Sussex County for many years, making him keenly aware of our needs. Jack is an active member of the Milton Lions Club having helped build them build much-needed handicap ramps. He is also a member of American Legion Post 17 in Lewes, and he is proud to be one of a few men who are members of the League of Women Voters. Please check out Jack’s positions on important issues by visiting Bucchioni20.com - a user-friendly site.
