Spring has definitely sprung, and it’s time for the Lewes in Bloom annual plant sale. Lewes in Bloom members are busy digging up and potting their plants for the sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 4, in front of Citizens Bank on Second Street. There will be plants from members’ gardens, fresh culinary and medicinal herbs, and Lewes in Bloom merchandise such as hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts, their famous cookbook and more. Customers can help their garden bloom and thrive with the perfect plants, and at the same time support Lewes in Bloom. Come early for the best selection.
Lewes in Bloom is a volunteer organization of more than 200 members. Each year, its members volunteer hundreds of hours planting thousands of bulbs and plants throughout the city.
