Lewes Garden Tour tickets now on sale for June 17 event

The 27th annual Lewes Garden Tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 17, rain or shine. Tickets to this year’s tour are on sale now at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center at 120 Kings Highway as well as the Inn at Canal Square and The Stepping Stone in Lewes. Two additional options are in Rehoboth at the Rehoboth Beach Museum next to Grove Park and Windsor’s Flowers & Plants on Coastal Highway. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the tour.

The Lewes Chamber Visitor Center is the only place that accepts credit cards (Visa & MasterCard); all ticket outlets accept cash or checks made out to the Lewes Chamber of Commerce. Tickets also can be purchased any time online at www.LewesChamber.com. Tickets purchased in advance, both online and by phone, will need to be picked up at the chamber’s visitor center which is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets will not be mailed.

There are nine private gardens on the tour this year - six in-town Lewes and three on Gills Neck Road in the Senators community. The gardens are selected by the event committee chair with assistance from other committee members. This year’s chair is Linda Davison, serving in her second year.

In addition to touring the gardens, the event includes a Garden Market where more than 30 vendors are located, selling garden-related items during tour hours. Cape Artists will be in the tour gardens painting, and tourgoers can enjoy beverages and lunch provided by Casa Amici in the refreshment tent in Zwaanendael Park. Free shuttle service is available during tour hours for ticket holders. Chamber members Lewes Senior Center, Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gallo Realty and Jolly Trolley will provide shuttle services.
