Several local organizations helped brighten the holidays for Sussex County seniors by contributing to CHEER’s Operation Christmas Cheer campaign.
Delaware Tech FFA students donated poinsettias they had grown. Mary Kay consultants also donated dozens of bags of toiletries for the seniors.
Joan Brasure and her sister Margaret donated funds to purchase dog food for seniors’ pets. Bags of pet food were also donated by the Mispillion Kennel Club.
Dublin Hill 4-H Club members and family members helped pack fruit baskets to take to seniors. The Sussex Tech JROTC Raven Battalion also conducted a gloves and hats campaign for the seniors.
Mountaire donated a shipment of turkeys to the Operation Christmas Cheer campaign to feed seniors on Christmas Day.
