Local students graduate from universities
Cape Region students graduate from Shenandoah
Shenandoah University announced local students who were among its 2024-25 graduates. Timothy Staudmyer of Lewes earned a doctor of physical therapy degree. Taylor Bullis of Millsboro earned a bachelor of education degree in middle education with a concentration in special education. Gabrielle Ziegler of Rehoboth Beach earned a bachelor of arts in media and communication.
Locals graduate from College of Charleston
The College of Charleston announced three Lewes students were awarded undergraduate degrees at its spring 2025 commencement ceremonies. Graduates and degrees earned are Kylie Daisey, bachelor of arts in theater; Sophia Ferguson, bachelor of science in commercial real estate finance; and Rebecca Wood, bachelor of science in environmental geosciences.

The College of William & Mary announced Parker Cole of Lewes recently graduated with a bachelor of arts degree.
Milton student graduates with honors from Buffalo
The University at Buffalo announced Patrick Kyle of Milton graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in exercise science/physical therapy.
Locals graduate from JMU
James Madison University announced Julia LaFave of Lewes graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in media arts and design.
Tess Mariner of Lewes graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in communication, and Elise Dejewski of Millsboro graduated with a bachelor of science degree in hospitality management.
Rehoboth student graduates from Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Worcester Polytechnic Institute announced Madison Reiber of Rehoboth Beach graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She completed a senior thesis required of all graduating seniors as part of the university's distinctive project-based educational experience. Her professional-level, research-driven project was titled The Metal Sponge: Sequestration of Pb(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II).
Local cadets gradate from The Citadel
The Citadel announced Lewes students Keegan Foley and Jackson Handlin, both of Lewes, both graduated with the South Carolina Corps of Cadets Class of 2025.
