Lora Zachow, had bright, courageous spirit

Lora Zachow, 56, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, after a long battle with Huntington’s chorea, a disease that claimed most of her immediate family.

Lora was a retired radiology technician and competitive line dancer who had a special affinity for children and a smile that lit up the room.

She was predeceased by her parents, JoAnn and Otis Zachow; and siblings, Brit, Kirt and Joli. Left to celebrate her life are her aunt, Joyce Zachow; brother-in-law, Mark Lovingood; special friends, Karen Gasper and Jill Goetz; and many family members, caregivers and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, April 25, at Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, 30486 Lewes Georgetown Hwy., Lewes.
