Lord Baltimore Lions support Low Vision Research and Rehab Center

December 27, 2018

Members of the Lord Baltimore Lions Club joined other Lions from Multiple District 22 in Delaware and Maryland for the Lions Day Roundup 2018 at the Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation Center at Wilmer Eye Institute.

More than 100 members gathered in the Chase Auditorium at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and listened to several speakers to learn about the life-changing work of the Lions Vision Center.

Lord Baltimore Lions Tony Rinaudo, Jack Bauer, John Monahan, Anne Gude and PDG Karl Gude attended the program. They heard of the progress being made to benefit low-vision patients and took part in an informational tour of the Lions Vision Center. The tour helped attendees understand and see up close the treatment process available to patients. Doctors and medical staff personnel participated in the tour to answer questions.

Two patients, Edith and Tiesha, gave moving testimonies. They eloquently shared their stories of overcoming major life issues impacted by their low vision and how their daily living was improved through the assistance they received at the Low Vision Research and Rehabilitation Center at Wilmer Eye Institute.

The Lord Baltimore Lions Club supports LVRF on an annual basis. First Vice President Anne Gude presented the Lord Baltimore Lions Club donation in support of this important Lions program.

Support for vision has been a top area of focus for the Lord Baltimore Lions Club, and Lions throughout the United States and in over 200 countries worldwide.
