Love Creek students surprise teachers with parade
Administrators, PTO arrange back-to-school welcome

Teachers lined the parade route to wave at students.

Some students brought balloons to brighten the teachers’ day.
Love Creek Elementary administrators and PTO officers surprised teachers Sept. 15 with a parade the day before school began in the Cape Henlopen School District.
“We wanted the teachers and staff to know how much we appreciated them, and we were cheering them on for the opening of the school year,” Principal Lisa Morris said.
Cape district elementary students are attending school either in person five days a week or fully remote. Students in grades six through 12 attend either fully remote, or in person two days a week with the remaining three days remote.
