Mark K. Bennett, former Pizza Villa employee

Mark K. Bennett, 61, of Long Neck, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at his home. He was born Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1956, in Claymont, son of the late Sherwood K. and Ellen Bennett.

Mark graduated from Claymont High School with the class of 1974. He started working for Townsend Poultry in Millsboro for several years before starting at Pizza Villa in Lewes where he worked for 30-plus years. He also was a talented photographer, shooting numerous local weddings over the years.

In his free time, Mr. Bennett enjoyed all types of music as well as playing the organ. He enjoyed expressing art work through his many tattoos. His spiritual interests included Buddism and Eastern religions, as well as being a faithful member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Rehoboth Beach. Mr. Bennett found his serenity at the beach and boardwalk. He especially enjoyed walks with his daughters and time spent with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Bennett is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Sandra L. Bennett; his two daughters: Brandy N. Ferrara and her husband Brent of Millsboro, and Raven L. Bennett of Millsboro; his two grandchildren: Sergieo Ferrara and Anastasia Ferrara; and his brother, Mathew Dysput.

A Celebration of Mr. Bennett's Life will be held at noon, Saturday, June 10, at St. George's Chapel, 20274 Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson. Interment will immediately follow the service at All Saints’ Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
