Mark Thomas Brittingham, ‘Mobile Home Man’
Mark Thomas Brittingham, 55, of Lewes passed away Monday, March 30, 2020, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born April 5, 1964, in Salisbury, Md.
Mark started working in the manufactured and modular home industry in 1984 right out of high school. Over the years he became known as the “Mobile Home Man.” For 20 years he owned and operated his own manufactured and modular home set-up company. For the last five years he worked for Bayside Homes where he managed installation, set-up and service of their homes.
Everyone who knew Mark knew he was a strong man with a soft heart. He always knew how to make you smile with his witty charm. When Mark was not working, he spent most of his time with his kids, grandkids, family and friends. He also enjoyed his own time which included yard work, fixing up old trucks, fishing, the beach and baseball. He was truly an amazing person who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Rose Powell Brittingham, and sister Lois Carroll. He is survived by three children, Kristy Farkas (Nicholas) of Georgetown, Kyle Wilkins (Alison) of Dagsboro and Zachery Brittingham of Milton. He also leaves behind his two sisters, Victoria DeNicolis (Tony) of Millsboro and Donna Dunn (George) of Lincoln; his ex-wife and best friend of 26 years, Lisa Brittingham; and his five beautiful grandchildren whom he adored, Brianna, Karli, Kaden, Emily and Caitlyn.
Due to the state of emergency a private service and burial will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mark’s memory to American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
