Marty Rendon has my vote

September 6, 2024

I met Marty Rendon when he knocked on my door a few weeks ago. We ended up talking for over an hour. I had already checked out his website (www.martyrendon.com) and liked what I read.

Marty, the grandson of immigrants from Mexico, graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University and then earned a law degree from Georgetown. After law school, he worked for two decades as a congressional aide and then served 25 years as the UNICEF USA congressional liaison.

I doubt anyone in Legislative Hall has a resumé as impressive as Marty Rendon.

But it was after listening to Marty’s answers to my questions that I knew for sure he is the real deal. I read phrases like “humanitarian needs,” “survival of vulnerable children,” and “protecting reproductive choice” on his website. When we talked, I could hear the frustration and sadness in his voice when he described children dying from vaccine-preventable diseases. I heard exasperation in his reaction to people who want the government to limit our personal freedoms. And I heard his determination to make a difference.

I urge you to check out Marty’s career experiences and his position on critical issues. Let’s send an effective, thoughtful and ethical legislator to Dover. Marty Rendon will be a breath of fresh air for RD 14 and Delaware.
