Mary Ellen McLaughlin, loved gardening

Mary Ellen McLaughlin, 77, of Lewes passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
She was born May 13, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Clarence Price and Mary (Shupp) Price, and spent her younger days in the Towson area. She graduated from the Friends School of Baltimore.
Mary loved gardening, traveling and seafood, and was a wonderful cook. She will be remembered as a funny, loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her sons, Derek Thomas McLaughlin of Lewes, and Kevin Bryan McLaughlin and his wife Ashley of California; grandchildren, Catherine Mary Elizabeth McLaughlin, Autumn Emery Rose McLaughlin, Thomas Turnbull and Brianna Turnbull; and a daughter-in-law, Marilee Turnbull.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas George McLaughlin, who passed in 2017, and a son, Brian Turnbull.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date.
