Maureen Miller retires as Lewes children’s librarian

June 30, 2017

Maureen Miller retired recently from her position as Children’s Librarian at Lewes Public Library.

Miss Maureen, as she is known by the hundreds of children who have heard her read at weekly storytime sessions, started her position in October of 2000. Miller started as a volunteer reader at storytime in 1991.

Friends, colleagues, children who have enjoyed Miss Maureen’s help through the years, and Lewes Public Library employees and board members gathered Saturday, June 17, for a retirement reception honoring her.

She and her husband Doug plan to travel and spend time with their children and new grandchild. Jennifer Noonan is the new children’s librarian.
