MERR Institute seeks volunteers for dolphin count July 16

The Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute Inc. will hold its annual dolphin count from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 16.

Volunteers will be stationed at designated observation points running from Fenwick Island to Woodland Beach.

Results from this count will help to determine population stability for Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in this region.

MERR is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of marine mammals and sea turtles and their habitat. MERR provides rescue and response for stranded marine animals that occur throughout the state of Delaware.
