Fire destroyed office less than eight months ago

This was the scene eight months ago as local firefighters battled a five-alarm blaze at the facility. It's believed that wind spread a fire started in a bed of mulch near the front door. BY RON MACARTHUR

Doctors, staff, builders, bankers, Lewes Chamber Executive Director Betsy Reamer and Sen. Ernie Lopez gather to cut a ribbon to reopen Mid-Atlantic Family Practice offices along Route 24 near Lewes. The building was destroyed April 24 by a five-alarm fire and eventually demolished. Doctors and staff moved from their temporary offices in Millsboro and started appointments at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 15, less than eight months after the fire.
