Middletown dentist elected president of Delaware State Dental Society
Dr. Paul Christian, a Middletown general dentist since 1999, was recently elected president of the Delaware State Dental Society, representing 436 Delaware dentists. He has held various leadership positions within the society since 1995, including coordination of the yearly Give Kids a Smile Program, which provides complimentary dental care to Delaware children statewide.
Christian has been an active member of the American Dental Association since 1994, and this year will serve as an alternate delegate at the ADA’s Annual House of Delegates Meeting in New Orleans, La. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of LDS Dentists, Better Business Bureau of Delaware and the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce.
Christian, a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, has served the community through his participation with the Appoquinimink School District Financial Advisory Committee and the Boy Scouts of America, and together with his wife Joanne has been a foster parent throughout the years to more than 30 children. The couple have five children and reside in Townsend.
Christian is honored to lead the dental society this year as the organization marks its 150th anniversary with a variety of educational and social events, concluding with a Gala Celebration on Dec. 14, the 150th anniversary date of the foundation of the society.
