Milford teacher Kelly Dee turns health coach with Fab You

August 22, 2018

While teaching in Milford classrooms for over a decade, Kelly Dee is pursuing her own business as a health coach with Fab You. Recognizing health and nutrition as an area she finds interest in, she has had to work on maintaining and understanding what a healthy lifestyle is for herself, too.

Blood sugar crashes left Dee feeling low and out of energy, but as she began questioning what would happen next with her health, she began learning about exercise and nutrition. Dee researched healthy lifestyle routines for years until she learned about the Health Coach Institute, where she worked to obtain her Health Coach Certification in April.

With the kickstart of Fab You, Dee has successfully handled six clients, working to guide each one to be their best self.

“We are figuring it out together,” Dee noted. “It is me being there helping to uncover what works for them, and it takes patience and time.”

Fab You offers a free one-hour breakthrough session, followed by 12 private sessions if applicable, focusing on the goals and paths clients hope to be on. For Dee, the breakout session is imperative to understanding the vibe and relationship she can begin to build with her clients. Because each one is in search for something different, Dee understands the importance of the first session as an opportunity to be a listener for her potential clients who are often in the shoes she once found herself in when she began her own path to understanding and balancing her health and nutrition.

Dee also offers blog posts, often her thoughts in the early hours on weekend mornings while she drinks coffee on her porch, she said.
