Millsboro man charged in Long Neck murder
A Millsboro man, 40, faces a murder charge after police said he killed a relative March 19 during an argument in Long Neck.
Police were called at 12:10 p.m. to a home on White Pine Drive in The Pines development after a family member had called 911 in reference to a shooting.
Police said they arrived and took John Sulecki into custody without incident. Inside the home, police said they found a woman, 72, with a suspected gunshot wound and she was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Police said Sulecki and the woman were were arguing in a back room of the house when he shot her.
Sulecki was taken to Troop 7 where he was charged first-degree murder, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $1,060,000 cash bond.
