Millsboro man dies in Oak Orchard crash
A Millsboro man died Nov. 7, following a two-vehicle crash on Route 24 near Oak Orchard.
The crash happened about 2:30 p.m., when a Dodge Ram was traveling westbound on Route 24 approaching Layton Davis Road. Police say the Ram, driven by a 76-year-old Millsboro man, crossed the center line into the eastbound lane and hit a Ford F-450 box truck.
The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified. The driver of the Ford, a 63-year-old man from Cape Coral, Fla., was taken to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Route 24 was closed while the scene was investigated and cleared.
