Millsboro man dies in Oak Orchard crash

A Millsboro man died Nov. 7, following a two-vehicle crash on Route 24 near Oak Orchard.

The crash happened about 2:30 p.m., when a Dodge Ram was traveling westbound on Route 24 approaching Layton Davis Road. Police say the Ram, driven by Peter Roskowski, 76, of Millsboro, crossed the center line into the eastbound lane and hit a Ford F-450 box truck.

Roskowski was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, a 63-year-old man from Cape Coral, Fla., was taken to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Route 24 was closed while the scene was investigated and cleared.
