Milton Arts Guild fine crafts classes to start March 4
Milton Arts Guild’s March education calendar will feature an array of fine craft classes designed for beginner students at Studios on Walnut, 310 Walnut St., Milton.
Denise Bendelewski, owner of Magnolia Baskets in Magnolia, will teach Basket Weaving Nantucket Coaster Baskets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, March 4. Students can weave a basket with a lid, handle or plain cherry rim. The class costs $135.
Peyote Stitch Bracelet will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 5. Instructor Donna Baratta will teach students the peyote stitch to create a beautiful bracelet made with cylinder seed beads. Cost is $85.
Fiber artist Sharon Davis will teach Wet Felting Crossbody Bag from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday, March 12. Students will use wet-felting techniques to create a wool crossbody bag to take home the same day. The class costs $80.
Ginny Barney will reprise one of the guild’s most popular classes, Multi-Themed Cigar Boxes, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, March 15. Students will transform a plain cigar box into a unique art piece using specialty papers and other decorative elements. The class costs $75.
All classes include materials provided by the instructors.
