Milton Community Foundation donates $4,900 to Cape High

Noble Prettyman Cap and Gown initiative assists graduating seniors

The legacy of Milton native and three-term school board member Noble Prettyman continues through the Milton Community Foundation, which raised $4,900 this year to support graduating seniors who need financial help.

MCF has donated more than $8,500 in recent years to Cape High on behalf of its Noble Prettyman Cap and Gown Initiative. The donation provides funding for caps and gowns, and if available, for payment of student accounts and other fees prior to graduation, said MCF President Steve Crawford.

“We are proud to help our students in their time of need and make their graduation a memorable day,” Crawford said. “This is only accomplished with the support of the community.”

Prettyman died during his school board term in 2015; he was last elected in 2013 to the Area A seat representing Milton.
