Milton Elementary celebrates 6-7 Day

Popular internet meme makes its way to Cape Henlopen School District
December 24, 2025

The hallways of Milton Elementary School were flooded with the numbers six and seven Dec. 15.

Similar to the 100th day of school, where pupils dress up as senior citizens, the students and staff at MES wore shirts, face glitter and headbands covered with the numbers six and seven for the 67th day of school.

The internet meme has become popular over the course of this school year, accompanied by the up-and-down hand gesture. To celebrate the 67th day of school, students practiced place value math with the numbers six and seven, solved math problems with the answers being six, seven or 67, and answered questions like, “Where is somewhere you have been 67 times?” To end the day of celebration, students gathered in the pod area to have a holiday dance party.

With smiles plastered across the students’ faces, all the children looked excited to commemorate their progress this school year.

In one third-grade class, a student exclaimed, “This is the best day ever!”
