The Milton Garden Club awarded $3,000 scholarships to three local women to apply toward the costs of their higher education.
A graduate of Laurel High School, Kassidy Hearn plans to attend Oklahoma State University and study agricultural communication.
Macy Mumford, an Indian River High School graduate, plans to attend the University of Delaware to study agricultural science and natural resources.
An agribusiness student at Delaware Technical Community Rain Vasey of Lincoln, is working to become an aerial agriculture applicator through pesticide training and certification. She also has started her own flower farming business.
