Milton Garden Club hosts Holly Festival

The Milton Garden Club hosted its annual Holly Festival in downtown Milton Dec. 13, giving visitors an opportunity to celebrate everything Christmas with local vendors.

The event was spread out all over Milton, with vendors at the library, Milton Theatre’s Quayside Stage, and at Milton and H.O. Brittingham elementary schools selling holly and Christmas-themed wares. There was also a wreath-making demonstration using local holly given by Mike Wadja, and inside the Lydia Cannon Museum was a selection of historic cakes from around Delmarva. 

 

Sophia Evans sells historic cakes such as Smith Island Cake, Lady Baltimore cake and Mary Todd Lincoln’s almond cake, among other styles.
Christmas trees are set up at the Quayside Stage at Milton Theatre.
In addition to viewing the hollies, kids had a chance to visit Santa at his workshop.
Kenneth and Angie Smith offer handmade jewelry from their Delmar-based company Edawd – an amalgamation of the line every day is a wedding day.
