The Milton Historical Society held its Second Annual King Cole Celebrity Chef Cook-Off Sept 9 at the Milton Fire Hall. Six area chefs competed for the cash prize, with all proceeds benefiting the Milton Historical Society and the Lydia B. Cannon Museum.
The rules were that a vegetable canned by the King Cole Cannery had to be used. The Draper-King Cole Cannery in the 1800s was one of the largest employers in Milton.
