Milton Lions Club learns about, supports Special Olympics Delaware

Milton Lions Club welcomed two special guests for its March dinner meeting: Lions Club member Barbara Spence, a Special Olympics co-chair, and Special Olympics athlete Sara Perrotta. Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, providing year-round training and activities to 5 million participants and unified sports partners in 172 countries. 

Spence shared information with attendees concerning the Special Olympics athletes in Delaware, and Perrotta told the audience about her experiences with the sports she participates in. Milton Lions continued their support by giving a donation to support the cause.
