Milton ministry hosts back to school bash for children, families

Milton Memorial Park was packed on Saturday with children and families taking advantage of free giveaways, information booths and plenty of entertainment at the Rock the Block back to school event at Milton Memorial Park on Sept. 13. BY MADDY LAURIA

For His Glory Ministries, Inc., invited families and children to Milton Memorial Park Sept. 13 for a back to school celebration with free book bags, haircuts and more.

The first 100 children at the Rock the Block event received a free book bag stuffed with goodies such as pencil cases and other school supplies. Representatives from Beebe Healthcare were available for health screenings for both adults and children and information from health-related organizations like the Delaware Division of Public Health and LaRed Healthcare also were available.

Participants also enjoyed free lunch, music, games and inflatables in the park along the Broadkill River.
