Milton students recognized for fire prevention efforts
Medals, prizes awarded to dozens of children
Milton Elementary School kindergarten student Abigail Ford receives a medal, gift certificate and cash prize for participation in the local Fire Prevention Program. The Milton Fire Department recognized dozens of Milton-area students Jan. 26 for their participation in the annual Fire Prevention Program.
About 60 students from Eagles Nest, Milton Elementary, H.O. Brittingham and Mariner Middle schools received medals and gift certificates, with larger prizes for the handful of students who earned county and state-level placements for posters and essays about fire prevention.
