Mispillion Art League’s Annual 6x6 Silent Auction fundraiser is now accepting bids. A reception and final bidding will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 19, at the gallery, 5 N. Walnut St., Milford.
The display of auction items, 92 works submitted by art league members and supporters, is available for viewing at the gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday. Gallery visitors who are not fully vaccinated should wear a mask to protect MAL volunteers and other patrons.
Those who wish to participate can stop by the gallery and get a bidder number, then check out the available works and place their number on the bid sheet for the pieces they can’t live without! This year’s submissions include a wonderful variety of mediums including ceramic, glass, collage, watercolor, oil, acrylic, and more. Bidding starts at $25 and rises in $5 increments. To add a little zing and pizzaz this year, patrons can put down $200, all bidding stops, and the piece is theirs!
The Mispillion Art League is supported in part by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com.
