Neurofeedback for brain injury and stroke is topic April 13
The Sussex County Chapter of the Brain Injury Association of Delaware will present a lecture on neurofeedback for brain injury and stroke recovery at 6:30 p.m., Monday, April 13. Psychologist and author Stephen Larsen, Ph.D, an internationally recognized expert in the field, will be the speaker.
Neurofeedback, a form of biofeedback, has shown success treating symptoms resulting from traumatic brain injury, concussion and stroke. Larsen, author of “The Neurofeedback Solution,” will discuss the broad range of ways these injuries show up in daily life, introduce neurofeedback as a healing modality and discuss results of his clinical experience treating his patients with neurofeedback.
Neurofeedback is currently being used in the latest research in the treatment of brain trauma associated with professional football and other sports injuries, ADD/ADHD and autism.
There is no charge for the event. It will be held at the McCurry Conference Center, Beebe Health Campus Medical Arts Building, 18947 John J. Williams Highway, Route 24, Rehoboth. The entrance is at the rear of the complex. For more information, contact Mike and Barb Murray at 856-297-0516 or 856-297-0518.
