New history eco-tours in Milford run through September

Local company Delmarva Discovery Tours has teamed up with the DuPont Nature Center, the Milford Museum, Abbott’s Mill Nature Center and the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford to offer a unique history/eco-tour that focuses on history along the Mispillion River.

The six-hour guided tour experience includes transportation from and to the beach area and surrounding areas, with stops at three venues for guided experiences. Free periods provide time to explore Milford for lunch, snacks, photos and more. Reduced prices are available for groups joining the tour at the Milford Museum.

Tours will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays during June, July, August and September. The minimum group size for the tour to operate is seven to eight people. The experience is great for families, small groups, people who love history, birders, fans of small towns, those with a shipbuilding interest, day trippers, kids and grandparents.

Delmarva Discovery Tours is a division of Delmarva Board Sport Adventures LLC, a small, local business offering fun, guided tours of area breweries, wineries, farms, antiquing spots and eco-tours as well as watersport rentals, lessons and excursions.
