New Life Thrift Shop Halloween Extravaganza runs Oct. 3-31
All have been summoned to the New Life Thrift Shop for its fifth annual Halloween Extravaganza, which runs from Monday, Oct. 3 until Monday, Oct. 31.
All year long, the shop’s volunteers set aside spectacular merchandise for this special event! They decorate the shop with all things Halloween and fall, and dress up in costumes of their own design. This is a real shopping experience. Remember, the shop will open an hour earlier than usual, at 9 a.m., during this special event.
Costumes are available for all ages, whether scary, creepy, crawly or hilarious! Those not into premade costumes can search through the shop’s extensive clothing, shoes and accessory collections to create their own special goblin or fabulous celebrity look. Shoppers will also find household, party and outdoor decorations, plus a Peter’s Pumpkin Patch that’s sure to have the perfect gourd for any ghoul. Tricks and treats range from sticker books to goodie bags to serving dishes to wigs and gag gifts, and even full-scale skeletons.
New Life Thrift Shop is located off Route 1 at 34686 Jiffy Way between Bethany Blues and Jiffy Lube. It sells donated goods at reasonable prices to support the core ministries of its parent organization, the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Churches. Ministries include the Community Resource Center, The Way Home, Lighthouse for Broken Wings, Lewes After-School Program, Prison Ministry, St. Vincent de Paul (Lewes and Rehoboth), West Side New Beginnings, Lewes Fire Department, Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, and more.
Shoppers can join in the fun and help several good causes at the same time!
