Milton town offices closed Jan. 18

Milton’s administrative offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 18, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Offices will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Rehoboth City Hall closed for MLK Jr. Day

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Rehoboth Beach City Hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave., will be closed Monday, Jan. 18. There will be no residential trash pickup. Trash pickup citywide will be Tuesday, Jan. 19. Visit cityofrehoboth.com/residents/trash-recycling for a trash collection calendar. Henlopen Acres Town Hall closed for MLK Day

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Henlopen Acres Town Hall, 104 Tidewaters, will be closed Monday, Jan. 18. For detais, call 302-227-6411.

Sussex P&Z approves site plans

At its Jan. 7 meeting, Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission approved the following: Final site plan for Catching Cove, 24 single-family condominium units on a 6-acre parcel along Savannah Road, Lewes. Final site plan for Seaglass at Rehoboth Beach, a 224-unit apartment complex on 19 acres off Route 24 behind Rehoboth Mall. The plan includes a clubhouse, pool, dog park, tot lot and 394 parking spaces. Final site plan for Tanger Microtel, a 78-room hotel on Holland Glade Road adjacent to Tanger Seaside Outlet off Route 1 near Rehoboth Beach. The plan includes 98 parking spaces with 22 temporary spaces on an adjacent parcel. Preliminary site plan for Plantation Square, two 2-story buildings totaling 49,450 square feet on a 6-acre parcel on the southwest side of Plantation Road between Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. The plan includes 267 parking spaces with interconnectivity provided to property south of the project. Once all state and county agency approvals are submitted, the final site plan can be reviewed and approved by county planning and zoning staff.

Sussex council not meeting Jan. 19

Sussex County Council will not meet Tuesday, Jan. 19. The next regularly scheduled meeting is at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Work planned for Route 24 intersection

The Delaware Department of Transportation will install new concrete signal pole foundations, traffic signal poles, mast poles and mast arm signals on all four corners of the intersection at Route 24/John J. Williams Highway and Indian Mission Road/Long Neck Road in Long Neck. Work in scheduled from Tuesday, Jan. 19, through Friday, Feb. 26, pending weather conditions. Daytime intermittent lane closures will occur from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and nighttime intermittent closures will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.  Motorists should expect delays at and near the intersection.
