Cape Henlopen school board meets Oct. 22

The Cape Henlopen school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, at H.O. Brittingham Elementary. Members will possibly take action on the class size waiver, class-action lawsuit, September financial statements and a new member recommendation for the Citizens Budget Oversight Committee. A presentation will be given on elementary school enrollment areas and the unit count.

Lewes to discuss capital projects Oct. 21

Lewes Mayor and City Council will meet virtually at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, to discuss capital projects. Items to be discussed include restrooms at the Rollins Community Center, lighting at the beach parking lots, upgrades to the tennis courts at Canalfront Park, renovations to the police department, the docks at Canalfront Park, and the streets improvement program.

Lewes planners set meeting Oct. 21

The Lewes Planning Commission will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21. The group will review a revised site plan for the Dutchman’s Harvest workforce housing project on Savannah Road. Lewes Beach Parking Committee to meet Oct. 22

The Lewes Beach Parking Committee will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22. The group will discuss the best approach to analyzing encroachments on city rights of way. Lewes group to talk finances Oct. 23

The Lewes Finance Committee will meet virtually at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 23.

Delaware Tech to offer planned giving seminars

Delaware Technical Community College will offer two free virtual seminars to share information about creating legacy gifts and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. Tax Implications of the CARES Act and Other Charitable Planning Options is set for 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27. The presenter will be Marie Holliday, CPA, MBA, managing director, Cover & Rossiter CPAs.
