Cape Gazette posts early deadline
The Cape Gazette office will be closed Friday, Dec. 10. Deadlines for editorial submissions, as well as retail and classified advertising for the Tuesday, Dec. 14 edition will be noon, Thursday, Dec. 9.
Rehoboth tree group to meet Dec. 10
The Rehoboth Beach Trees & Green Infrastructure Committee will meet at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 10. The agenda calls for continued discussion on mapping trees planted for the city’s Commemorative Tree Program, and a review of trees and green infrastructure in the city’s new comprehensive development plan.
The meeting will be conducted virtually with an anchor location of Rehoboth Beach City Hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave. People wishing to speak but not attending in person must preregister by emailing City Secretary Ann Womack, awomack@cityofrehoboth.com, at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Henlopen Acres meeting set Dec. 10
Henlopen Acres commissioners will meet at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 10. The agenda calls for a presentation on last year’s audited financial statements, a discussion and possible action on parking in cul-de-sacs, and continued review of the definitions of family and group rental in town zoning code.

The Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission will meet at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10. The agenda calls for continued discussion on the possible rezoning of 330 Rehoboth Ave. and the city’s 2020 Comprehensive Development Plan.

Cape Henlopen school board meets Dec. 9
The Cape Henlopen school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 9, at Rehoboth Elementary School. Possible votes will be held on major capital project change orders, a board policy on employment of substitutes, and approving signatures for documents.
Lewes BPW meets Dec. 8
The Lewes Board of Public Works will meet at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, at city hall, 114 E. Third St. The group will receive an update on the Donovan Smith mobile home park water and sewer project and discuss an update to BPW policies. Also on the agenda are discussion of a wastewater treatment plant planning grant, amendments to the bylaws for the formation of a mitigation committee and other housekeeping revisions, and a policy for BPW staff to not accept payments over the phone. Electric vehicle charging stations will also be discussed toward the end of the meeting. The meeting will also be held virtually via Zoom. Lewes art committee meets Dec. 8

Delaware Manufactured Home Owners Association will hold a general membership meeting at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at Angola Beach & Estates Clubhouse, 22971 Suburban Blvd., Lewes. The nonprofit entity represents the interests of approximately 50,000 homeowners living in manufactured housing on leased land all over Delaware.
