Rehoboth BoA hearings March 27

The Rehoboth Beach Board of Adjustment will meet at 2:30 p.m., Monday, March 27, in the city hall commissioners room, 229 Rehoboth Ave.

The first item up for consideration and possible vote is a request by the Belhaven Hotel team for a three-month extension of the variance the board granted in November 2021.

The second item is a hearing on a setback variance at 111 Park Ave.

The owner is seeking to allow an increase in height of 16 inches to a portion of an existing nonconforming entryway structure located within a required front-yard setback. This is the second phase of this request; city commissioners granted the encroachment during a meeting in January. The third item on the agenda is a variance request at 40 Park Ave.

The owner is seeking permission to allow a single-family dwelling to encroach 0.7 feet into the side-yard setback, to permit an existing accessory structure to remain 1.6 feet from the rear property line and 6.8 feet from the side property line, or an appeal of the building inspector's determination that the existing accessory structure is not legally nonconforming.
