Cape Henlopen school board meets April 28
The Cape Henlopen school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at Love Creek Elementary. A presentation on the middle school math curriculum review and selection will be given, and possible action will be taken on a revision to the 2022-23 school calendar, change orders and financial statements. Several board policies will be discussed, and the Cape High JROTC achievement award will be presented. The full agenda is available at capehenlopenschools.com.
RD20 Democratic Committee to meet
The Delaware 20th Representative District Democratic Committee will meet virtually at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 21. Attorney General Kathy Jennings, who is seeking re-election this year, will discuss her top priorities, including making Delaware a safer place to live and raise children, making the justice system fairer and equal for everyone, and taking on corruption.
Any registered Delaware Democrat may participate in RD20’s committee meeting. Non-committee people must register by emailing rd20.deldems@gmail.com with their legal name and street address for verification.

Rehoboth’s bulk trash pickup coming
Rehoboth Beach’s free annual bulk pickup service will take place in two sections this year. The south side will be picked up Monday to Friday, April 25 to 29. The north side and Schoolvue area will be Monday to Friday, May 2 to 6.

Lewes Parks and Rec meets April 18
The Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m., Monday, April 18, at the Rollins Community Center and via Zoom. The group will discuss a proposed major subdivision for the former Lewes Dairy property on Pilottown Road. The developer is proposing eight single-family home lots and two parcels of open space. The project spans both sides of Pilottown Road. Open space proposed is 11.5 percent; 10 percent is required in the R-2 zoning district. The parks and recreation commission will send a report to the planning commission, which will make a recommendation of approval, denial or approval with conditions to mayor and city council. Dewey Beach Town Hall closed April 15
Dewey Beach town offices will be closed Friday, April 15, in observance of Good Friday.
Dewey infrastructure to meet April 21
The Dewey Beach Infrastructure Committee will meet at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 21, at the Lifesaving Station, 1 Dagsworthy Ave. Members will hear a presentation by the Center for the Inland Bays on the town stormwater master plan and will discuss the town's long-term infrastructure needs. Rehoboth to meet Tuesday, April 19
Rehoboth Beach commissioners will hold their monthly voting meeting at 9 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, a change from normal scheduling to accommodate Good Friday.
The agenda calls for a permit of compliance hearing for Above the Dunes, 101 South Boardwalk; a public hearing on proposed changes to the city’s small wireless communications facility design manual; and a possible change to Deauville Beach parking fees based on vehicle length and day of the week.
The in-person meeting will be held in the city hall commissioners room, 229 Rehoboth Ave.

Eastern Sussex GOP meeting set April 18
The Eastern Sussex Republican Club will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, April 18, with a social half-hour starting at 6:30, in the Manor House, 30769 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Lewes. Sussex County Emergency Operations Center Director Joe Thomas will discuss the Smart 911 System and the Pulse Point System.

Dewey marketing committee to meet
The Dewey Beach Marketing Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, at the Lifesaving Station, 1 Dagsworthy Ave. Updates will be provided on the beach posts, monthly resident newsletter and upcoming Dewey Business Partnership events. Members will discuss a Dewey welcome packet and potential community fair ideas.
