Lewes collecting items to donate
The CIty of Lewes is participating in a local food pantry drive, collecting items to donate due to shortages at local pantries.
Donations can be dropped off at Lewes City Hall lobby and will be distributed to the local food pantry.
Acceptable items include but are not limited to: canned fruits and vegetables, oatmeal, 100% fruit/veggie juice, healthy cereals and snacks, canned beans, crackers, nuts, rice, canned meat, applesauce, peanut butter, Pedialyte, canned soup, and hygiene items like soap, toothbrushes and shampoo.
Possible School Lane vote Aug. 23
Sussex County Council will meet at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown. Included on the agenda is a possible vote on three applications for the proposed School Lane 84-unit, multifamily housing project along Route 24 adjacent to Love Creek Elementary School. The developer has filed for a rezoning from AR-1 agricultural-residential, to MR medium-density residential, a conditional use for multifamily housing and a county future land-use map amendment to include the entire 22-acre parcel in the coastal zone. Manufactured home owners to meet
Delaware Manufactured Home Owners Association will hold a general membership meeting on Zoom and in person at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 22, at Angola Beach & Estates Clubhouse, 22971 Suburban Blvd., Lewes.
The nonprofit entity represents the interests of approximately 50,000 homeowners living in manufactured housing on leased land all over Delaware. Zoom call information is available on the DMHOA website, dmhoa.org, and Facebook page, dmhoahu.
