No fall middle school sports in Cape district
Tuesday, October 13, 2020
Continuing the decision made regarding middle school fall sports, Cape Superintendent Bob Fulton said at the Nov. 12 school board meeting that district middle schools will not play winter sports this year.
High school winter sports will take place; schedules are available at capevikingssports.com. In October, the board voted unanimously to waive admission fees to athletic events at Cape High until further notice.
As with fall high school sports, only a limited number of spectators will be permitted; the number of tickets given to participants will be decided at a later date, Assistant Superintendent Jenny Nauman said.
Spectators must wear masks and will be temperature-checked before admittance, and visiting spectators will not be allowed. Home games will be livestreamed.
